I read once, I do not remember where, that an artist is not an artist because of his great works, the big amounts of money he can earn or his fame. An artist is an artist because he loves what he does, it gives him life, it enriches his world and the artist shares this with other people.  This is a thought that I share, too. It is not about selling a lot, creating a lot, showing more aptitudes or being more intelligent. It is about conveying the creative maelstrom, reflecting with words what is in your mind.

  We live in a world where those who walk behind the scenes lose the interest of the public, but thanks to them artists have a meaning on the stage. Without supporting actors, clothing, lighting, sound, script, direction, etc., the work loses its beauty, however important may be the main character.

  That is how I present myself, as a supporting actor who walks behind the scenes, but who occasionally, when I have a pencil, I become a leading actor. I am an apprentice in a world where you never stop being it.  I do not compete for prizes, but I do not miss the opportunities either. I have big dreams that I am fulfilling through small goals. I trust in good luck, but I trust even more in effort and perseverance. I believe that a smile can change more things than a frown can do, and also that branches can grow in all directions, they can cast great shadows, no matter the roots.

  I want to thank these people who bear my mood swings, my innumerable hours of ‘literary imprisonment’ without stopping writing and me as an absent-minded person.
